  1. Alcohol: Avoid drinking alcohol, including heavy sessions, before your tattoo appointment, as it thins the blood and can lead to excessive bleeding during the tattooing process.
  2. Spicy food: Steer clear of very spicy food, as it can also thin the blood and increase the chances of bleeding during the tattoo session.
  3. Don’t shave the area beforehand, we appreciate that you may want to help, but shaving too early can cause some skin irritation and rashes, making it harder to tattoo, plus…. its all part of the service 😉

What to do: 








  1. Eat: Have a healthy meal before your tattoo session to keep your energy levels up and help you cope better with any discomfort.
  2. Sleep: Ensure you get a good night’s sleep before your tattoo appointment to feel more refreshed and relaxed during the process.
  3. Hydrate: Start hydrating your body by drinking plenty of water seven days before your appointment. Hydrated skin absorbs ink better and aids in faster healing.
  4. Exfoliate: Exfoliate the tattoo area once a day for seven days leading up to your appointment. This removes dry and old skin, making the skin more receptive to ink. using products like or alternatively you can easily make your own using oil and brown sugar.
  5. Moisturize: Apply moisturizer to the tattoo area twice a day, once after exfoliating and again at some point. Well-hydrated skin helps the tattooing process and facilitates better healing. Any moisturising lotion you have at home should do, we like
  6. Continue hydration: Keep up your water intake even after the tattoo session. Drinking 2 liters of water a day helps hydrate all layers of your skin.
